& How to Apply

DDF has an extensive mentoring program. Selected recipients are offered a variety of opportunities to increase their skills and are guided during their learning experiences by matching recipients with experts in the field. A network of dedicated professional musicians, artists, recording studio and video productions personnel and performance coaches are part of the DDF mentoring team. Past recipients have been given opportunities such as to record in sound studios, perform at live events, record video productions, attend song writer camps, exhibit their art works, interview with radio celebrities and to have one to one coaching sessions by professional musicians and artists.

2016 DDF scholarship music award recipient – received performance opportunities at several performance opportunities at live events such as the Langhorne Coffee Shop, Langhorne, Pa., Bucks County Community College (BCCC) Pop-up Concert (Upper Bucks Campus – Perkasie, Pa),  and the Creative Inspiration Concert at the Bucks County Community College, Newtown, Pa. She also received one-to-one coaching by Ernie White of Ernie White Studios, Steve Burke (song writer and producer) of Proline Music, Tom Reock of Squirrel Ranch Studios and D - Freeman of Sonlight Production Studios. Through her contacts with DDF, she was interviewed by KYW News Radio, Philadelphia, Pa. As part of her learning experience, Emma was involved with a Creative Inspiration music video produced by Pat McGrath of the Art Institute of Philadelphia. To gain more knowledge of sound recordings, she had a session at the Sonlight Production Studio.

2017 DDF scholarship music award recipient

Katelyn was immediately welcomed into the DDF mentoring program. Avery White, the 2017 BCCC Art Award recipient, produced a music/video “Gave Me an Inspiration” which featured Katelyn and her friend, River Schenk. The music/video will be previewed at the 2017 Creative Inspiration Concert and will include a live performance by Katelyn accompanied by seasoned professional musicians, Johnny Betz and Lisa Bouchelle. Other opportunities included rehearsals and a recording session at Sonlight Performance Studio.

She was a student from Bucks County Community College (BCCC) who the DDF foundation discovered at a Radio Bux Music Event and decided to promote her through the DDF Mentoring Program. She received a session at Sonlight Production Studio in Perkasie and was offered the opportunity to record a demo album. She also recorded a video demo produced by Liz Video Productions featuring her original song “Take a Chance on Me”. Alexa received coaching by Michael Hampton (song writer and producer) of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and John Mulhern (song writer and producer) of the John Mulhern Studio, Ventor, NJ. Through contacts with DDF, she was interviewed by John Ralston of WNPV Radio, Lansdale, Pa. Alexa also received several opportunities to perform at live events such as the Bucks County Community College (BCCC) Pop-up Concert – Upper Campus in Perkasie, Pa., the Annual Creative Inspiration Concert, Newtown, Pa, and John and Peters’ Place, New Hope, Pa

Laura received opportunities for live performances at the 2014 “Legacy Rock Sculpture Concert,” New Hope Playhouse with a cast professional musicians from national traveling acts, the 2015“Creative Inspiration Concert” at Bucks County Community College (BCCC) in Newtown, Pa. and Bucks County Community College (BCCC) Pop-up Concert – Main Campus in Newtown, Pa. Through DDF, she received one-to-one coaching sessions from Lon Van Eaton of Imagine a Better World Studios and “D” Freeman of Sonlight Production Studio. She also received a recording session with Pat McGrath of the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

Alyssa

Dodge

Upon hearing about the work of the DDF Foundation, Alyssa’s father contacted the Foundation. We learned that Alyssa auditioned for America’s Got Talent and regularly performs five times a month. After listening to her sound tracks, DDF set up a recording session at “D” Freeman’s Sonlight Production Studio with Kris Waniuk, Blue Dasher record label owner, and drummer, Ethan Soost. Alyssa will have an opportunity to perform live at 2017 the BCCC Creative Inspiration Concert and to produce a studio demo for the purpose of acquiring a recording contract.

Kelly Bartsch

Singer / Songwriter / Musician

Kelly was brought to the attention of DDF by  Bob Figlo of Figleaf Productions. With years of experience in the music business, Bob is always sharing his knowledge with others and has become one of DDF’s talent scouts. Bob set up an audition for Kelly to play a few songs for members of the Foundation. DDF arranged for Kelly to perform at a DDF-sponsored events at John & Peter’s Place, New Hope, Pa. Kelly continues to delight audiences and we look forward to watching her career in the future.

Kate Hall

 

Singer / Songwriter / Musician

Kate received several sessions with DDF contact Beatles’ producer, Lon van Eaton of Imagine a Better World Studios. She performed two songs originally written by Danny DeGennaro and then produced by Lon, one with a male vocal and a two female duet.

“This World is Going to End Some Day” music/video with Kate singing a duet with Laura Fiocco and Matt Hunter can be viewed on the site under Videos.  A second audio sound track with her singing “Gave Me an Inspiration” can be enjoyed in our Music area. Kate  is an extremely talented young lady, who has also been known to pick up a violin. More to come in the future!

Ethan Soost

Studio Drummer / Singer / Songwriter

DDF first met Ethan through our association with “D” Freeman, owner, engineer and producer of Sonlight Production Studio. DDF immediately recognized Ethan’s talent and arranged for Ethan to sit in with Alexa Korogodsky and Alyssa Dodge for a recording session at Sonlight Production Studio. Ethan worked with DDF in the studio and is scheduled to perform with Alyssa Dodge at the 2017 “Creative Inspiration Concert”.  Ethan has his own band and has a bright future.

Avery White

2017 DDF scholarship art award recipient

Avery White is majoring in Cinema/ Video Production, after winning the DDF award he was recruited  to photograph 2017 award recipients at Danny D Sculpture  and  to produce a music video film in BCCC Newtown campus sculpture garden area. The song by Danny DeGennaro, “Gave Me an Inspiration” will be the sound track and will be previewed at 2017 Creative Inspiration concert.

Jeremiah Snyder

The first DDF scholarship award recipient – received several opportunities to perform at live events such as the Bucks County Community College (BCCC) Pop-up Concert, Newtown, Pa., the Golf and Music Event at Highland Golf & Country Club, Yardley, Pa., the Annual Creative Inspiration Concert, and the River Roots Art & Music Festival, Snipes Farm, Morrisville, Pa. He received one-to-one coaching from Beatles’ producer Lon van Eaton of Imagine a Better World Studios, who mentored him with recorded live and studio events. In addition, Steve Burke (song writer and producer) of Proline Music, Ernie White of Ernie White Studios, Tom Reock of Squirrel Ranch Studios and John Mulhern (song writer and producer) of the John Mulhern Studio, Ventor, NJ provided coaching and exposure to sound recording practices. Jeremiah was also involved with a Creative Inspiration music video produced by Pat McGrath of the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

He is an up and coming musician. DDF sponsored his attendance at the Steve Earle Catskills Mountain Songwriter Camp, New York. He received one-to-one coaching sessions with Lon Van Eaton of Imagine a Better World Studios. Through contacts with DDF, he also participated in an audio recording session with the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Matt also received several opportunities to perform at live events such as the Stadium Bar and Tavern, Levittown, Pa. and John & Peters’ Place in New Hope, Pa. and the 2015 Creative Inspiration Concert at Bucks County Community College.
